Lermer Holzscheite Gmbh is an all-rounder in forestry. Trained staff, our own technology and a large fleet of vehicles enable us to accompany the tree along its entire journey. Our aim is to provide regional, personal and sustainable forestry work, forest maintenance and timber harvesting. We have adapted the working methods of our forestry services to this: It is a mixture of modern technology and traditional forestry.
We know our wood and appreciate being able to work in a place where others can relax. And we want that to continue to be possible in the future. For us, wood is not just a raw material, but a versatile and unique material. Every tree felled was once a habitat for a variety of living creatures. Forestry has the responsibility to ensure balance and to enable regenerative thinning of the forest. That is why we are more than just timber traders. We see ourselves as preservers of nature.

A tree can live for hundreds of years. It is important to us that your forest remains healthy. This is achieved, among other things, through regular regeneration of the plants. However, if natural rejuvenation of the forest does not occur, Lermer Holzscheite Gmbh helps to preserve the quality and diversity of the trees.
To achieve this, we use modern and ecologically sustainable methods of forest planting. This includes preparing the planting area and protecting the trees, for example by erecting wildlife fences.
Whether big or small: We take care of your forest!
The forest is not a factory that produces trees on an assembly line. Each tree is a unique individual and, like us humans, grows differently. We make sure to only harvest trees that are ready for harvesting. Our goal is to preserve the forest ecosystem in our work. Rare mixed tree species are spared during the timber harvest and remain in the forest.
EcoForst ensures environmentally friendly thinning that protects the existing trees and at the same time creates space for new growth. Because new things can only grow where there is space. But in the forest, an open area alone does not guarantee growth. Working carefully and in a way that protects the soil ensures that nature can develop and that the forest remains both sustainable and profitable.
Sometimes a tree becomes a risk. This is usually the case where people live: for example, in built-up areas near buildings. However, classic tree felling, as would be done in a forest, is usually impossible here.
Lermer Holzscheite Gmbh has the right solutions ready: Depending on the situation, we use special methods of tree felling. Our team includes experienced tree climbers. And if there is enough space, we come with our cherry picker. Our employees also take care of professional removal of the tree.
Sawing where the wood is. This is possible thanks to our mobile sawmill LT40 from Wood-Mizer. Its own combustion engine makes the sawmill completely self-sufficient.
Your logs can be sawn into boards, beams, slats or squared timber in no time at all. Logs from 2.50 m to max. 6 m in length and from 25 cm to max. 90 cm in diameter can be processed without any problem. The fully hydraulic log handling takes place completely automatically in the sawmill – in all weather conditions and for all types of wood.
